Neutron stars: Cosmic laboratories for matter at ultrahigh densities

February 11, 16:00 Aula Magna

Ignazio Bombaci (Pisa University & INFN)

One of the most fascinating enigmas in modern astrophysics concern the true nature of the ultradense compact objects called ”Neutron Stars”. In this talk I present some representative the- oretical calculations for the internal structure of neutron stars and discuss the connection with the microscopic properties of ultradense hadronic matter.
