Andrea Ascani is Assistant Professor of Economic Geography in Department of Human Geography and Spatial Planning of Utrecht University. He is also affiliated to the Department of Geography and Environment of the London School of Economics as Visiting Fellow and he has been Visiting Scholar in the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. His main research interests lie in the study of Multinational Corporations in terms of location and organizational strategies, their impact on the innovativeness of local actors and their contribution to the structural transformation of regional economies. Andrea has published his research in major refereed journals, such as Journal of Economic Geography, Economic Geography and Environment and Planning C. He has also participated in several research project as research officer, including EU FP7 and EU JPI.
