Full professor of Astrophysics and Cosmology at the University of Padova. His main research interests range from Cosmology to Astro-Particle Physics, with particular emphasis on
the physics of "Inflation" in the Early Universe, Dark Energy modelling, the study of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) radiation, the large-scale structure of the universe and gravitational waves in a cosmological framework. He has published more than 390 articles in international refereed journals. He is associate member of INFN and INAF. He's actively involved in the ESA space mission "Planck", devoted to the analysis of the CMB temperature anisotropy and polarization and he is associate member of the "Euclid" and "LISA" space missions.
