PEZZI Maria Giulia

Maria Giulia Pezzi, social anthropologist, is Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI) as a memeber of the Social Sciences research unit. Her current research focuses on the use of tourism strategies and heritage-making policies as development tools for rural areas in Italy. Before joining GSSI she’s been Research Fellow at Università degli Studi di Bergamo, carrying on field research on anti-corruption practices in Northern Italy as a part of the large scale EU funded project, in particular WP4 “The ethnographic study of corruption practices”. Her research interests include Economics Anthropology with an accent on Tourism studies.
